The Cart Lodge (Sleeps 4 or 6)

The Cart Lodge is available as either a sleeps 4 (with 2 bedrooms) or sleeps 6 option (with the 3rd bedroom in the adjoining annexe). It offers a bright and spacious open-plan living space opening onto a south facing courtyard where guests can sit and soak up the sunshine, light the barbeque and relax.  The two bedrooms in the cottage (a king-size double and a twin) share a family bathroom.

Facilities include fully equipped kitchen with washer-dryer & dishwasher, open-plan sitting room/diner with Smart TV and DVD player. Bedrooms have handmade wrought iron beds, quality bed linen, televisions and hairdryers. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. Towels and toiletries are also provided. There’s WiFi and cosy under-floor heating throughout.

The additional annexe room accommodates a further two guests with its own separate entrance just a few steps from the cottage within the courtyard. As one of our former B&B rooms, it’s appointed to luxury standards with a cosy limestone flagstone floor heated by eco-friendly energy harvested from under our alpaca paddock. It’s furnished with a Norfolk crafted king-size bed and the en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower over. There’s an armchair, television, towels and toiletries, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer and WiFi. The Cart Lodge is the smaller of our two cottages and whilst very comfortable as a sleeps 6 option for 4 adults and 2 children, we would advise it may be a little too cosy for 6 adults.

Up to two well behaved dogs are very welcome in The Cart Lodge cottage although they are not permitted in The Cart Lodge annexe room. An additional charge of £20 for up to 2 dogs applies.

Please note that the entrance to The Cart Lodge cottage and annexe does involve several steps down into the courtyard. If you have any concerns about its suitability for those with mobility issues, do give us a call to discuss.

The Cart Lodge Prices

Prices shown are per week (7 nights)

From October to late May,  we offer a 7 night stay with a Friday arrival/departure day and short breaks of either a 3 night stay (Friday to Monday) or a 4 night stay (Monday to Friday). There may be exceptions to stay duration during the Christmas and New Year period – please contact us for details. Short breaks are priced at 75% of the weekly rate shown below.

From June to the end of September, we offer a 7 night stay with a Friday arrival/departure day.
