East Ruston Old Vicarage

If gardens are your thing this is a must visit – a bit of a drive from West Heath Barn but a lovely relaxing one, through gorgeous countryside and hardly another car to be seen en route.

The gardens are the creation of Alan Gray and Graham Robson who have spent over 30 years transforming a 32 acre blank canvas into one of the finest privately owned gardens in England. There’s a series of themed gardens (my favourite is the Exotic Garden with it’s stunning fountain), amazing viewpoints including an iconic one of Happisburgh Lighthouse framed by trees and hedging, a fab cafe and excellent plant sales.
